Las Vegas Communities
Aliante is one of the newest master-planned communities in the Las Vegas valley. This growing development is located in North Las Vegas, near Decatur and I-215. Aliante is primarily a residential area, but it offers many amenities not seen in other master-planned communities. It is a perfect place to raise a family, offering a safe and secure environment just north of the bright lights of Las Vegas. Anthem is located in Henderson, four miles from the I-215 Beltway. Many of the communities located within Anthem are age-restricted, but there are a few neighborhoods that welcome younger residents. There are several golf courses located in or near Anthem, and the community offers a wide variety of activities. With its convenient location, scenic views and many amenities, it's easy to see why residents are singing Anthem's praises. Camino Del Norte and Elk Horn, located in the far northwest part of the valley, are residential communities that are ideal for first-time home buyers. They are truly quality areas that are far enough away from the center of town so that the savings in land values can be passed on to the home buyer. Shopping is already close by and growing daily, and the schools are already in place. Commute time into the city is approximately 20 minutes. There's great value for your dollar here! Canyon Gate, located near Sahara and Durango, is home to the Canyon Gate Country Club. This gated, members-only facility features swimming, tennis and an 18-hole championship golf course. Residents enjoy scenic views of the course and the Spring Mountains, and many local attractions are nearby. Centennial Hills is one of the newest master-planned communities in the Las Vegas valley. This growing development is located in far northwest Las Vegas, along U.S. 95, near I-215. Centennial Hills provides an ideal retreat from "big-city" living, but residents still enjoy breathtaking views of the Strip and downtown Las Vegas. Desert Shores is built around several manmade lakes, which offer a variety of outdoor activities. A "lagoon" at the center of the community offers a swimming beach as well as basketball courts, volleyball courts and picnic facilities. The lakes are great spots for fishing and boating, or you can just stroll along the peaceful trails in this lovely gated community. Desert Shores is popular with the ducks and swans that flock to its waters, but it's also popular with its residents, who enjoy the laid-back environment and convenient location. Green Valley, which was developed by American Nevada Corporation, is one of the premier master-planned communities in Southern Nevada. For the past decade, Henderson has consistently been listed as one of the fastest-growing cities in America. Green Valley also has experienced tremendous growth since its inception in 1978, and the trend is expected to continue. Green Valley is known for its high-quality, family-oriented lifestyle. Green Valley Ranch is part of Green Valley, one of the premier master-planned communities in Southern Nevada. Green Valley Ranch comprises 4,000 homes within 30 small villages. The community is nestled into the Henderson hills, and this higher elevation gives residents an excellent view of the mountains, the glittering Strip and the entire Las Vegas valley.
Lake Las Vegas was built in the hills outside Henderson, but you'll swear you're visiting a small Italian village. This 2,600-acre master-planned community offers a blend of shopping, sports and peaceful living. Where else can you tee off on a Jack Nicklaus-designed course, dine at the Ritz-Carlton and take a gondola ride on a crystal-clear lake -- all within a half-hour's drive of Las Vegas? MacDonald Ranch is home to several neighborhoods, including the upscale MacDonald Highlands and the age-restricted Sun City MacDonald Ranch. The area was sculpted out of the McCullough Mountains, which offer a rugged backdrop to this burgeoning community. Many luxury homes have terraced or hillside lots with golf-course or mountain views.
Painted Desert is a master-planned community that surrounds the Painted Desert Golf Club. When the course opened in the late 1980s, it sat alone in northwest Las Vegas. Today, Painted Desert sits amid the burgeoning Centennial Hills, a growing development located along U.S. 95, near I-215. Peccole Ranch is a master-planned community located just south of Summerlin in northwest Las Vegas. The community is home to 12 distinct neighborhoods, offering a variety of home styles and amenities. Signs at the entrances to Peccole Ranch feature a stylized horse's head, and this equine theme is reflected throughout the community. Queensridge is one of 12 distinct neighborhoods found at Peccole Ranch. The upscale neighborhood offers custom homes and luxury houses with classic European design. Many homes surround the Badlands Golf Club, which adds a scenic dimension to this growing community. Red Rock Country Club is located within Summerlin, in northwest Las Vegas. This gated community is home to two Arnold Palmer Signature golf courses, tennis courts and a private club. The nearby Red Rock National Conservation Area offers a dramatic backdrop to both courses and the homes that surround them. Rhodes Ranch is a guard-gated community built around the lush Rhodes Ranch Golf Club, which offers some of the best golf in the Southwest. Rhodes Ranch offers the exotic beauty of tropical palms and a waterfall; the thrills of a championship golf course; and the solitude of the Southwest -- all in one desert oasis. Five of the most reputable builders in Las Vegas have created an enclave of neighborhoods at Rhodes Ranch. With this wide selection of builders, buyers are able to select from an array of sizes and designs. Seven Hills is thousands of miles from Italy, but the old country is reflected in the scenic drive that takes visitors into this modern Tuscan-styled village. The rolling hills of the McCullough Mountain Range offer some of the most incredible views in the Las Vegas valley, including the mountains, the glittering Strip and the Rio Secco Golf Course. Siena is a 665-acre retirement community in the southern part of Summerlin. There are more than 1,800 homes in the guard-gated community, which is being developed by Sunrise Colony Company. Age-restricted Siena offers a variety of amenities for its active senior residents. The community has a Mediterranean feel and is patterned after the town of Siena, Italy. Solera at Anthem is a sister community to Sun City Anthem, one of the Las Vegas valley's best-known retirement communities. This Pulte/Del Webb development is one of several distinct neighborhoods in the Anthem master-planned community. About 1,750 homes are planned for Solera at Anthem, a small neighborhood that caters to active seniors. South Valley Ranch is a 205-acre master-planned community that was developed by Pacific Communities Development. The project is divided into seven parcels with 1,100 single- and multi-family residential units, a 10-acre park and 30 acres of commercial uses. Southern Highlands offers an ideal setting for those seeking a break from the noise and stress of city living. The community is located in far southwestern Las Vegas. Although Southern Highlands is off the beaten path, Interstate 15 provides easy access to the Strip and other locations throughout the Las Vegas valley. Southern Highlands is home to the Southern Highlands Golf Club and is divided into two sections: The Estates, which sits along the golf course; and The Villages, which is closer to stores and schools. Summerlin, developed by the Howard Hughes Corporation, is the nation's best-selling master-planned community. Summerlin is unfolding in villages, each centered around its own major park, golf course or major amenity. Currently, there are 17 villages in various stages of development. Eventually, the community will be home to 30 villages, each featuring dozens of thoughtfully planned neighborhoods with a unique selection of homes, town homes, condominiums and apartments. Sun City Aliante is among the newest active-retirement communities in the Las Vegas valley. Located in North Las Vegas, this Pulte/Del Webb development is one of several neighborhoods in the growing Aliante master-planned community. The I-215 Beltway provides easy access to North Las Vegas and the entire Las Vegas valley. Sun City Anthem is one of the Las Vegas valley's best-known retirement communities. This Pulte/Del Webb development is one of several distinct neighborhoods in the Anthem master-planned community. Sun City Anthem is home to two golf courses at The Revere at Anthem, and it eventually will feature two community centers. About 6,300 homes are planned for Sun City Anthem, which caters to active seniors. Sun City Summerlin is among the most popular age-restricted communities in the United States. Completed in 1999, Del Webb's first foray into Southern Nevada active-retirement developments remains a rousing success. The 2,400-acre community is home to more than 14,000 residents.Sunset Village is a 156-acre master-planned community located at the base of the Whitney Mesa off Sunset Road. The project will consist of a mixture of 18.8 acres of commercial, 116.9 acres of residential and 20.3 acres of public/semi-public land. At buildout, Sunset Village will contain 1,003 new housing units, 368 single-family, 261 townhouse units and 374 condominium units.The Lakes will make you forget that Las Vegas is located in a desert. When The Lakes opened in the 1980s, it was located on the edge of the city. Today it sits amid a bustling business district.
